For Families

Why do more Boys than Girls have autism?

We are currently recruiting individuals of any age with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) to participate in a study looking at the genetic differences between males and females with ASDs.  The affected individual and both biological parents may be eligible to participate.  Participants will be asked for a genetic sample and a few short parent questionnaires.  For more information about this study, please download our flyer.

The RasCal study

In collaboration with Dr. Katherine Rauen, a medical geneticist specializing in RASopathies, we are currently enrolling families affected by neurofibromatosis type 1, Costello syndrome, cardio-facio-cutaneous syndrome, or Noonan/LEOPARD syndrome. The affected individual, both biological parents and an unaffected sibling may be eligible to participate.  Participants will be asked for a saliva sample and a few short parent questionnaires. This can be done at home and returned via mail.  For more information about this study, please download our flyer or newsletter.
